UPDATE: Well, the TEV cleaning really helped.  The "symptom" of the idle dropping has not completely gone away.  But it is much less noticeable, especially when the bike is warm.  And the bike has not died once.  Maybe the pilot jet is a little gunked up too, but I'm happy with the results of the TEV cleaning tip.  Thanks forum.
