We stopped hittin' the range 3 months ago when all the ammo around here disappeared.....sigh....

my wife got me a dillion progressive press for our tenth anniversary. i cast my own lead bullets. and pick up powder and primers when i see them at a decent price. right now im still loading a box of 50 45acp for $3.50.

i do other caliber also, but i shoot 45 the most.

Whoa whoa whoa. According to Srinath it takes loads of specialized equipment and not just anyone can do this in their garage like I told him they could.

well he is probably talking about the kind of bullets you spray into crowds. i think you need a special book to load those. and they cost $100 to load.
im just loading the kind that keeps my family safe from aids infested rapists and illegals looking to rob and kill us.

Generous price tag,... but, your sense of romance, may need a tune-up...
Such a thing could only happen in America,... or Afghanistan...  maybe Syria...
Honestly,.. is that anything to be proud of?...Huh...

PS..."Slowbama"... get's you bumped to the TT .. - Serow...

pardon the pun Sew, but shoot straight now: had he made a tiny joke about Palin,  would you have bumped him to the TT?

Good deal... For our anniversary/Valentine's Day 2012, Lisa got a Bersa Thunder CC .380, and for her birthday in August 2012 she got a Henry .22 carbine. And she helped herself to my Deerfield 16g pump shotgun years ago, swapping me her grandfather's 20g Remington semi-auto.

Around here they are just tools. Last night while I was grilling steaks (yuck) and burgers (I like those) at the pond, she was sitting there with my 8 shot .22 target revolver waiting for squirrels to lip off...

That's okay, if 'bot hadn't moved it already, I'd have forced his hand and it would have been moved...  Wink

Apparently the constant pain I'm in makes me "a cranky old basta*d"... at least according to my wife, my friend/farmhand, my 87 year old father-in-law...  Roll Eyes

That you believe someone has some kind of problem "Inside" that makes a gun "what they Need" to be okay is really revealing. & its pegging MY Creepometer.

its okay justin. i do have a problem. there is something inside me that makes me need to be free to live my life with the freedoms our fore fathers intended. if what i need to insure said freedom is a gun. then i guess im headed in the right direction....

Ms.Starlifter wanted a MIM-104 Patriot surface to air interceptor missile for mothers day, but I pointed out to her that we have no kids, and so she's technectially not a mother....I did however hint that come valentine's day I might surprise her with one. Nothing hints romance like a patriot.

"A gun is the most powerful device there is to accessorize the ego."

Ha ha ha ha truer words have not been seen this side of the tard farm.

I've had a gun since 1994 - and midnight has met me - and I guess he knows by now why I have never had to even show it except to say ... "hey dont this look cool" and I have never lived in an upscale neighborhood. In fact this place I am @ now is the best 'hood' I have lived in ever.
Guns are for people who have no common sense ... and as soon as my son gets taller than the wife - the gun probably will be sold.

Cool.

Yea I have on advice of someone I like and respect.

Maybe some where in 95 I may have needed it on one or 2 ocassions - not that I ever had to use it even then. But after that I have only killed beer cans with it, and past 01 or 02 (my merced CA time frame) I think I have not even used it. My wife has a CCP - but she doesn't want that big honking thing ... typical girl huh. I'm like oooo yea that bugger is heavy, I want it ... she goes ewwww ... no. Audio equipment too. If it dont weigh 50-60lb I dont want it.

In a way I wont take credit for much of it.
House break in's are very uncommon and when they are, its always inside jobs. Why ? most people dont keep cash or other directly valuable items @ home - that is well known.
Remember in the 90's there used to be car break in's to steal your stereo. Guess what - doesn't happen any more. Why ? cos car stereo's are worthless.

My commercial value is in the driveway - everyone knows that. And in my case, no one cares, nothing is pretty and shiny and screaming out "steal me steal me" ...

Anyway there is no worthwhile reason to go up against me - that much is pretty obvious. Even the drug dealers in the hood nod and let it go. They have very little to gain and a lot to lose if they piss me off. I also am not the only one in my hood who has achieved "the we dont mess with the man and he dont mess with us" status. There is a couple other guys too.

Cool.
Srinath.

Read his post again - when he can "buy powder and primer" etc cheap.

Y'know as soon as I get a few million pills with the real L-Ephedrine I'll make a big batch of meth ... this pseudo ephedrine sucks.

If powder and primer is available - you can load. if it is not - you can go find bat guano and what not and load your bullets.

Then of course as soon as bat nuts is scraped up off the caves ...
Its a squeeze ... like the ephedrine supply. Is there still meth being made - yes, but its a lot less potent, and a lot harder and more $$$ ...
Cool.
