Sarah Murnaghan, the Newtown Square girl has been hospitalized at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for three months with end-stage cystic fibrosis, and is on a ventilator.
U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius says she doesn't want to intervene in transplant decisions about a dying Pennsylvania girl.
Rep. Lou Barletta went to bat for little Sarah Murnaghan. "I'm begging you. ... She has three to five weeks to live. Please suspend the rules," Rep. Barletta, urged Sebelius at a House Education and the Workforce Committee hearing on her department's budget.
Sebelius conceded that the case was an "incredibly agonizing situation, but said that many complex factors go into the transplant-list formula.

Sure they do, sure ha ha, 'complex factors'...(snort)...unless the family of that child is important, rich, famous, or a powerful criminal like Cheney, the child will die.
Uh-huh, no transplant for this dying little girl but old man (war criminal) Cheney had no trouble demanding to be placed #1 on the heart transplant waiting list...at 71 yet.
The ethical issues are not that he had a transplant, but someone who DIDN'T have a transplant and died as a result because Cheney was placed #1 on the waiting list while hundreds of other critically ill people were denied the heart this bastard stole.
