One question,... where is the "Stand your ground" law for Travon?...
That's all he was doing...
He was armed with a soda and some candy,... and was stalked by an armed man...
That much is fact... It is not incumbent upon him to submit to this person,...
...he stood his ground...
Where is your "freedom" and "Constitution" now?...
Are we all to cower and submit to the barrel of a gun?...
You guys don't even think the police have that right... but, you think this boy should let some wannabe superhero bully him?...
If only Travon had been packin' a piece, maybe he could have defended himself...
Great.... problem solved.... just like you say...
The solution to gun violence is more guns...

...
Here's an idea... let's take all those "gun buy-back" weapons,.... and donate them to inner-city youths...
They are the most likely to need to defend themselves... most likely to die from a gun...
The bad guys already have one anyway,.. and the good kids are defenseless...
That is sarcasm, by the way...
Isn't it ironic,.. that the most armed members of society, are the least likely to need it...
...and the most likely to die,... don't have guns...
Most inner city, ethnic kids,.. are good kids... and they live in terror... and they want better, and they want out...
... and the only option,.. is to risk death, or join...
I think they understand that joining doesn't really make them safer... but, it makes them less powerless...
Much like any of us arming ourselves....
If everyone carried a gun... it wouldn't be safer...
It would just up the ante...
It's like this "Zimmerman/Martin" case...
Neither guy is really a bad guy,... it's just two guys... one with an ego complex, and the other with an inferiority complex...
The reason it is national news,... is that one had a gun....
