If you are not familiar with these tools.....find someone who is. Learning how to use them on a brass jet is not recommended.....if you screw it up the carb is now a paper weight.

If it were mine.....I would probably strip it down as far as possible, then do the necessary drilling and get the easy out in the hole and see if the easy out would properly seat temporarily and take it back out. Then I would put the carb in my heated ultasonic cleaner and get it nice and toasty warm....while the cleaner worked on any corrosion that might be helping to hold in the jet. Then I would remove the carb, put it in a vice......and insert the easy out and see if the jet could be coaxed out wth the easy out.

Someday I will be old......But not today!

Removing the broken header bolt from the head, now that was more of a problem!

Craftsman calls it #1, but they should all list corresponding drill bit size regardless of brand.

Over the years I have really good luck with left hand twist drill bits for removing broken threaded parts. In most cases carefully drilling with the left hand twist bit will remove the broken part as you drill. If doesn't come out that way you have the hole for an Easy Out.

I never broke off a fastener until I bought my first torque wrench.
