we live in a free country. We are Taxed to support the poor, SO, since we pay taxes to accomplish that, we are then somehow legislatively Prohibited from Actually going face to face & helping? Really? Is this a Union Job? Once a task is handed to the goobs, then they & they ALONE can work to accomplish it? You pay taxes to have a fire department, so if you pick up a water hose & start fighting a fire at your neighbors house, are you doing something Illegal? If you stop a robbery are you wrong? If you can have a picnic at the park, are you legally prohibited from Sharing what ya brought with hungry people? REALLY? In AMERICA?> HOw is this Happening? OHH, wait, I am the crazy one who believes that there is a force at work from behind the scenes doing things to back us in a corner, dehumanize us, train us to follow orders like prisoners,, & THIS kind of crap is exactly that. TRAINING to teach people they have NO influence, no ability to affect the lives of others UNLESS it is done under the direction of the goobs.

Ahhh i heard about this... but the version I heard DID say what the problem was. The city had enacted a NEW ordinance to raise funds. The ordinance meant that anyone "using" the park had to get a permit. ( Using meaning an organized event). The flip side was that city had not been charging groups and that groups in term had been trashing the place and leaving the clean up expense to the city. It was also postulated that such an ordinance could allow the city to pick and choose who they wanted to use the park.

Ohh, well,, as long as thers a good REASON to threaten to arrest people helping homeless,, hey, go for it.,,.
You havent realized how many Freedoms have been whittled away under the guise of "But we have a good reason"?
