Piston: yes
Rings: no

When Lancer did my valves at 155,000, I pulled off the cylinder. Took that and the piston to a machine shop to have them checked. Both were still within tolerances. They just honed the cylinder. New rings (stock size) were put on.

Only the valves and seals needed replacement; the valves had tiny hairline cracks on the outer edges of the valves. Also did a valve job done on it, otherwise no issues.

I am nudging closer to the magic number needed to post an official mileage entry.
At 199,300 something now.

Maybe I should hold off when I get real close to see if the "boys in the band" (Hill Country Savage run) want to have a celebration ride if they come down this year. Undecided

I can always ride Mad Hamish until then.
