Me thinks that sums up to 196k.. Nudging the 200k total miles!
I'll have to total it up down to the mile to see if we can celebrate in april.

Since I just got new rubber for the bike and I calculated that I change the rear tire pretty much every 24 months, I am curious to know what tires you high mileage guys run on your bikes, how often you change that tires and what kind of mileage are you getting from these tires. I expect I will hit an indicated 40K miles this year. I'll have to do a bit of math to figure out actual mileage due to the taller gearing and bigger rear tire.

Dear Serobot, the attached photo is blurry but should show 80475 km or just over 50000 miles, may I have an award?

I use Metzeler Marathon tires. Always have except for one bad experience with Pirelli Route 66.
According to my crappy maintenance records:
I get between 12k and 18k on the rear. The last 2 tire changes were low (12k) mileage due to cracks at the bottom of the tread. Still had good tread otherwise. Made the vendor cough up a refund on the 2nd one.
Before that, usually 16k or better.
Front tire. 28k to 35k.
Metzelers are not cheap, but I ride a lot and would spend the difference on tire change labor in the same amount of time.

Thanks Lancer. I think my next rear tire will be either a Metzeler or a Michelin. I'll probably stay with the Shinko front as I only ride 4-5k miles per year and I don't want to have a 5-6 year old front tire.

Congratulation jcstokes and BadWolf ! I feel so Young all of a sudden ???
.................
All three of the speedometers I've had on my S-40 might total 50k miles ?
So Versey , I hope your leading when you roll over the 200,000 mark - if so I'll buy you dinner where ever you stop.

Adding my congrats to JC Stockes and Bad Wolf!
About time we got some company in the "roll over" list!
MM.. you buying me lunch?? Thumper is currently "moth balled" waiting for you to get to Texas so we can roll the 200k over! Only about 200 miles short of the mark.
I hope Mad Hamish doesn't break down between now and then. If he does, Thumper may need to roll over early.
