IMO, any cop or district attorney who stacks the deck on a citizen should get at LEAST whatever punishment they gave or tried to give their victim.
AND , in such a case as this, not just taxpayer $$$ goes to repay the victim,, OHH NO, take the jakass who screwed the citizen to NOTHING,, no job, no home,start over from a shelter.. Wouldnt take but 2 or 3 of those & the system would clean UP,,

Mr. Guy 2. I completely agree with you in this matter. Although you seem to take umbrage to my opinion on any comment I might add to a post, I am sure we can both agree on this one.

Any time an officer of the court or an officer of the law is guilty of this sort of thing, he should receive double the penalty assessed on the victim.

Lady Justice is indeed blind. But not blind in the way intended.

Sometimes the system gets a bandaid.
There was an officer here in Bridgeport. Discharged a firearm (accidentally) in a cafe loaded with people.
He got written up.
The people were outraged because if it were any of them they would be locked up.
They petitioned and he got charged.
