hi again!
I noticed long ago, but checked I could only today. and here's what I found. the right rear shock absorber too much free play and knock the lower support. I picked up a caliper and measured. the outer diameter of the bolt is 12mm and the inner diameter of the lower sleeve - 14mm and its form was far from right round.. it of course I can improve. I wanted to ask someone of you guys have met similar? or is it a "gift" from the "curves" of the hands of the former owner of a motorcycle? and also wanted to ask-how to check how good the rear shocks on the Savage?

Yeah, it's not bigtwin, but it is the best half of it

ok. the bottom bolt of the right shock absorber I've corrected-machined bushing made of steel and installed.
how many miles(years)can serve the rear shocks? on my Savage they are no traces of oil and rust-like all good.. but! in the front fork periodically we need to change the oil and seals.. what rear shock absorbers?

I suppose some classic bike restorers rebuild rear shocks,... but on a bike like ours... if they start to weep liquids or get too soft,...
You just buy a new pair...
Preferably,.. taller ones that actually absorb some bumps...
