You shouldn't be connecting anything near the flasher.....that will complete the circuit.  All your connections have to be made after the directional switch on the handlebar.  If you connect anything on the flasher side of the switch....you are completing the circuit and the flasher will jump into action as a result.

You can connect them the indicator lights to the plug that use to go to the speedometer mounted indicator lights.

True. What I was trying to do was make it so I only had one light flashing for either left or right, not two separate left and right lights.  Huh

You can do that with a diode:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/flashers-load-resistors/metric-bike-...

The pair of wires has one wire connected to the positive right and the other to the positive left, and the single wire to the single light power side.  The ground of the single light can be connected together with either ground....no need to tie them together.

Well....your probably right in just covering up the holes.  By the time you put on your full face helmet, put your feet on the rear sets and reach out for the clip ons......chances are you will not be able to see the tank lights anyhow.

I did try it out in the driveway today, just rolling it down so I could adjust the rear brakes. When I was on the Savage, it wasn't very comfortable to me, but the Ryca feels very easy to sit on. Funny thing is that I find the visibility on the Ryca better. On the Savage, I was sitting back and down and was looking at my arms. Now that I'm up and forward, my arms are down and I'm not looking at them. I'll try it soon with my helmet on. Tomorrow I'm fiberglassing the tail light bracket in, making the plate hinge and hopefully getting the decomp cable installed, it's supposed to be here tomorrow. I showed Ryan what I was doing with it, he liked the idea.

Got the decomp cable and put it in. Need to raise the tank about 1/8" up to decrease the cable bend. Need to brace it in a few places to keep it from flexing. Tried it out and it works! If anyone wants the info on how to make one, let me know, it isn't very hard at all.

Just figured out why my tank is fitting a touch wonky. The mounting bracket is .125-.25 off center. Easy fix with a spacer. Didn't do a lot today; busy doing yard work. Sad

Ahhh, the joys of home ownership. We took a tree out last week too. Did tinker a little. Got the solenoid worked out, the tank raised and centered and designed the new license plate/ tail light/ brake lights mount.

nice blog.
you got the solenoid in the arch under the seat - are you able to fit the rest of the electrics junk in there as well? or have fixed up another place for them?
I have to fit my electronics stuff in the arch with present plans, but like your solenoid idea very much. Wondered if both are possible?

Yeah, everything fits under there. I have such a small battery I could fit everything under there. I still could fit a tool kit under there too if I felt like it. There is a side shot on page 8, May 10th. The solenoid hookup wasn't too hard but it did take a bit of adjusting. I raised the tank about 1/8" to give a hair more cable clearance. If you want to see any specific shots, just ask. Smiley
Got the taillight working today and the rear plate spring mechanism set up. Working on the rear brake switch before I called it a night. Got a guy getting me a quote on paint for October or so.
