Thanks. I'll be ordering a cable for it in a few days.
I just got it all wired up and now I keep blowing the main fuse! I'm disconnecting EVERYTHING, turning the key on and plugging things in one at a time. If it blows again, at least I'll be able to narrow the problem down a bit. Angry

Have no idea what the problem was, other than a possible bad ground. I wired it up and plugged each thing in, listening for the fuse to pop. Got everything hooked up, except the rear tail lights and the hall sensor mounted and it looks pretty good to go. The only thing I can't figure out is why the center console light (turn indicator) stays on and keeps blinking, even with the turn signal off. Grin I think I might need a LED flasher. I'll see what happens when I get the back lights in.

Thanks. The cable will run up under the right side of the tank, pass through where the Ryca tank mount is (previous decomp location) and back to the engine. I'll be running a 32-34" cable.

does length of cable affect performance at all? It's just an oversized switch right? I was gonna go manual but I like your solution better.

I don't think it should. It's a very short pull distance and the cable will be pretty snug in place under the tank. Ive already tried a few different cables to see how they would perform with a tight turn and they all seem to do fine. I've accounted for the curve from the front to back too by adding an extra inch of cable.

Was out messing with the bike yesterday and determined that the long bar LED wouldn't work if I keep the license plate in the regular place. Dave put his plate to the side and you could see it clearly. He suggested two smaller lights which gave me an idea. Get the smaller ones and mount them to the sides of the plate. I'll run the extra tail lights more by the shock mounts.

I'll put the long strobe on my Volksrod.  Cool

Not a lot to mention today. Welded on a tab for the decomp controller and welded in a nut to the spacer I'll be using for a shift peg. Was busy with mother's day and the weather is lousy this week. I need to get the kickstand bolt in next, finish the rear arm, install the rearsets and linkage, mount the seat and tail and install the lights and exhaust. Still need to find tank sealer.

I have used a lot of fuel tank sealers over the years, and my current favorite is the epoxy sold by Caswell.  Make sure the temperature is warm when you use it.....when cold it is really thick and hard to move around in the tank.  It is clear....although you can get some weird colors if you want.

http://www.caswellplating.com/restoration-aids/epoxy-gas-tank-sealer.html

My second best favorite is the POR 15 sealer.  It leaves a nice silver color inside the tank (not the pasty white that the acetone based sealers leave).  It sets up with exposure to the moisture in the air.

http://www.por15.com/POR-15-Fuel-Tank-Sealer_p_64.html

A pint of either is enough to do one tank.

Wear Rubber gloves.  Any POR15 product will stick to your skin like a Tattoo.  The products cure by having exposure to moisture....and the moisture in your skin works great!

Thanks Dave. One of the guys I work with mentioned how good it stuck and the lovely "waxing" it did to his left forearm. Wink He saw a tab and pulled, just thinking it would come off like a band-aid. His wife kidded him for weeks until the hair started to grow back in.
