Posts: 43 Liverpool, UK Gender:	Verslavy installation 09/05/15 at 03:21:23 I received my new verslavy cam chain adjuster this week and am in the process of installing it on my LS400. I have just removed the circlip from the old housing - and this is the point where it should just slip easily off. However it won't budge Something else seems to be retaining it. I can't see anything obvious. Any ideas? Cheers

The housing is a very snug fit on the shaft. It needed a good 'wiggling' to get it off. I also replaced the circlip with a new one for good measure.

I will try again and give it a good 'wiggle'!

The parts explosion diagram doesn't indicate that anything else could be retaining it and I can't imagine the fitting of the adjuster is any different between an LS400 and an LS650.

It moves a good few milimetres forwards and backwards and then it is almost like the lip where the circlip goes is restricting any further movement. Maybe I will also try a bit of WD40 on it as well.

Have just taken it for a test ride and it sounds and feels much better! Thanks everyone for the help.
