Lithium Ion Batteries again

Apologies as I know this has been discussed but I just wanted an update on people's experience of running these types of batteries in Savages over a few seasons?
I am on the other side of the pond so earthx aren't wildly available here but there is an established brand called JMT that I am thinking of getting for my build:
http://www.mandp.co.uk/index.php/default/ytx9-fp-jmt-lithium-ion-battery.html
It claims 180 CCA
I ride through the winter but only during sunny days - Is this enough for riding in temperatures above 5 celsius?
Also what's your experience of charging these types of batteries? I realize you have to get a different type of charger for them - do you need to keep them on a trickle charge between infrequent rides? The battery was listed as being for DR650 so I thought it might be ballpark close enough spec?

the LiIon batteries aren't recommended in the cold.
but I'd ask your lot how they do, we don't get your kinda cold.
that's a right handed battery, you need to see if they have a left hand version. easier to install on the savage.

I've had one in the Cabbage for a couple years now and no complaints. I've never charged it, just disconnect it when I'm not using it for a while. It doesn't seem to lose any sitting around..

The only warning that I will give.....don't overcharge it or run it down completely.
If you goof and turn your key into the park position and run the LiIon battery down to a deep discharge - it will be ruined.
I don't disconnect mine, or put any kind of charger on it. Sitting for 5-6 months over the winter doesn't seem to bother it - the bike fires right up when spring comes.
