Raptor Success / Brake question
12/10/15 at 15:28:34
I got the Raptor petcock after running into some problems with the stock vacuum. I got it installed, but overnight a very slow leak developed. (I had gotten a brass washer from the hardware store that was a little too big.) Today i found a neoprene o-ring the same size as the missing washer, hit it with a little Parker's o-ring lube (expensive, but very good stuff) , and after 6 hours no leak!
To be on the safe side I ordered the Suzuki washer/gasket, but I'm still riding while waiting for it in this uncommon beautiful weather. (east coast)
I also replaced the aging fuel line with Gates submersible line that I had left over from a Ducati project.
I was wondering if anyone had experience with the EBC rotor. I want to get rid of the squeaky front brake.
Thanks!
Patrick

I don't think a rotor change will quiet the brake noise...
Try some organic pads... (way cheaper)...
...but,...these aren't floating brakes... so, there is some contact all the time...and they may still squeak...
If you can't fix it... learn to love it...

If you have the stock pads.....they are squeaky.
Order some EBC Organic pads, and most likely the problem will go away.

I replaced the stock squeaky pads with EBC organic pads and the noise went away.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

OK Good...I have the EBC organic pads ordered along with a replacement brake line (Spiegler - I use those on an older Suzuki GS550t and they are great)
