So...

No One is interested in discussing the implications of the FBI apparently using foreign hackers to break the encryption developed by an American technology company, and what that might mean for our national security down the road ?

Okay, never mind then.

Just continue with the same old pissing contest. Bye. Roll Eyes

I have/had no idea WHO offered and provided help. That it was Needed is not something I am able to grasp. After all, we DO spend more than the sum total of many nations on
Dee Fence and we ARE Number One. So, WHY are we so unable to accomplish Fukkalll? Can't find the guns pushed across the border, can't stop the influx of illegals , can't win wars, but WE ARE Number One.

Yeah, tattoo that inside your eyelids. So you can see it every time you blink.

Yes I read it, and again, you think this knowledge was just waiting for an invitation?
My son at 12 years old could tear into his computer and make it better....
He had the whole thing torn apart to my dismay...
Had back running in nothing flat. He figgered out how to intercept paid cable, etc, and get stuff for free..
The little turd could do rubic cube in seconds.

It seems crazy to us, but this geeks will always be out to screw with technology, it's a game to them.

We ain't seen nut'n yet.....

You wanna pee now?

I'm truly curious to understand the logic. I suspect that I will be curious about it for a long time, because I don't expect to get a rational explanation.

"Not going away."

Maybe it needs a new thread with a specific question.

OK. I'll rephrase the question I asked in a previous post to this.

"What are the implications of the FBI using foreign hackers to break the encryption developed by an American technology company, and what  might that  mean for our national security down the road. And I'll add, what might it mean to the security of other more mundane domestic encrypted networks like banking for example. Who are these folks that the FBI is in bed with ? The FBI won't say. And apple claims not to know how this was done.

It's not really a partisan question. I wanted to know what people thought.

And the pissing contest I was referring to was the lefty vs righty bullsh*t that the first replies pretty much consisted of.

I maintain my position.
I'm unable to believe that we Needed help.
IF in fact help Was needed AND we spend Multiple times the amount of money other nations do, then exactly What are we getting for our money? Does nobody else see this?

I've typed out a BUNCH of stuff, waiting for the left to reply.
You got a question, Hovis, ask it.
And be clear about it.

That's IT? THAT'S THE EARTH MOVING QUESTION?
Have you noticed that it's with something else?
I'm not going hunting, but I have typed, quoted, pointed out the questions AND NOBODY HAS THE BALLS to even TRY to answer.

And THAT'S your question..
Phhhht, figure it out.

Not an 'earth moving question', but one which you have bothered to 'quote' yourself, in response to your own post....in this very thread (no need for the hunting cap)....

PS. As to the original thread, check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clifford_Stoll and "The Cuckoo's Egg".
