That's just pretty right there. I'm just not okay without the chin protection. I stuffed my face into a cab corner on a pick-up and bent it pretty good, according to a guy who saw the crash. The pickup stopped, driver looked at me, unconscious, laying on the bike, in the ditch and drove away. I walked away. Actually helped load the bike on a trailer. Finally went to the ER about four hours later, got stitches in my lip . I actually went because I had a really bad headache. Without the modular helmet, my face would have been crushed.
That Said, I did crash once where HAD I been wearing a helmet, I would have severed my spinal cord. Cracked three vertebrae and offset the spine like putting one fists knuckles into the other.
