Blinker corroded, aftermarket not working. (Read 56 times)

Posts: 24	Blinker corroded, aftermarket not working. 05/14/16 at 14:15:48 So I noticed my running light on 1995 savage works but the left blinker and the brake light is out. The blinker is out due to corrosion and I just happen to have an aftermarket blinker but it isn't closing the circuit like the OEM it appears. Can u use a different blinker?

The stock flasher unit doesn't know what to do with an LED.....you need to switch to a solid state flasher if you want to run an LED blinker.

Will they All? IDK. But, if it works for one side, should be just as good for the other. Clean up the corrosion. Check bulbs.

It turned out to be a short right on the main plug coming under the tank from the hand lever. I pinched it when putting the tank back on and it wore out the insulation against the frame.
