Wake up America.....
The gun is NOT your enemy....
Anymore than than nature ( it kills ).
The car.
Drugs.
Booze.
Food.
Airplanes.
Knives.
Etc.

We have to look at, expose, and distinguish who it is.
Any other focus is NOT going to get us to where the real threat resides.

In fact, it is easier to spot a gun toting terrorist than one with a small bottle/container of toxic substance that could be introduced into a water source that would make Flint look like child play, etc.
Can you for a second imagine how a "bus boy" at a popular tavern/restaurant could taint food/beverage and have it served on the unsuspecting patrons in a busy night, only to find out the next day many succumb to it?
How do you deter that without major intervention that would push our B of R and Constitution right up against a wall?

If only one person had been carrying a concealed weapon in that crowd....

I am so sorry for all the loss and heartache, but thinking hate crime laws, and gun restrictions, and PC speak will solve this horrific mentality, I got news for you, the dinosaurs are dead now....

Look at things his way.
Get into his decision-making cycle and disrupt it in order to defeat him with the least commitent of men on my part.

I read a great speculative fiction story about an "agent". He was given a disease (varied by region) and all he had to do was travel. He'd hit up a train station, air port, what have you. The real story was his psychological breakdown with these events happening in the background, barely touched upon. I enjoyed it.

Guns don't make webpages devoted to killing Jews, Americans, gays etc.... It ain't the gun's fault. I probably have weapons more potent that the Orlando guy used, but I'm not a threat.

True, a deadly virus could easily be released. I'm in the food & beverage industry. Since 9/11, security at food plants has been increased, but tomorrow, I will be at a plant that I guarantee all of you have eaten food from. I've been there enough that if I wanted, I could do some damage. it would be relatively easy. We can't protect ourselves by eliminating targets. We can protect ourselves by eliminating the people most likely to take action against those targets. That's Trump's point and I agree with him. Hilary and Democrat supporters are in denial.

They are putting us in danger in so they can win an intellectual argument.

Yes,.. bombs can be made from fertilizer, and there are chemicals and viruses... and clubs and knives can kill...
..but, guns are unique, in that they are designed to kill. It is their raison d'être...

Some reasonable compromises could be made, if both sides weren't so inflexible...
Some balance of measures to lesson the risks, frequency, and severity of mass killings and terrorist acts.

This killer was a US citizen,... apparently there was also another terror wannabe arrested in L.A. (this one was a white boy)...

Basically,.. we can only try to do the things we do, more and better,...
It can't be stopped or prevented, just reduced.

Mass shootings happen where masses of people are...

In Chicago,.. it's a 20 minute bus ride out of town to the gun shop where most of the guns used in Chicago shootings come from...
Urban areas are helpless to limit sales on their own.
Restrictions can only work at the national level...

Ya'know,... ultimately, it is the guns...
Sure,.. there's mental problems, and terrorists, and security slip-ups, and just plain pissed off people,... but, 9 times out of 10... it's bullets piercing flesh that kills...
There's awful lot of superfluous stuff to fix if you want to ignore that one fact..
