I want to know what is the tallest rim lowest profile tire setup for the rear of my bike.. I want something a lil wide if I'm going low prof.. Also are there any places that make a springer front end that will fit my suzuki? Almost forgot I'm going to go chain conversion.. If this changes anything..

It's about as tall as you can get without modifying anything else. You can always play with the numbers and find a 25" tall tire with 3" sidewall and 19" rim (or whatever you are looking for). I think some guys have used a 150/90 with success.

Here's what I want to go with I'm building a bobber out of my s40.. 19" fat low prof rear 19" slim front.. Springer front end.. Still need to locate one that will fit my bike..

There is a kit to run a DNA springer on your stock steering head. Google Suzuki Savage springer, the kit should pop up at some point.

The biggest bike tire that will fit the stock rear wheel is a 160/60-15. And it is hard to find most of the time. It will "just" (maybe, if you are really lucky) clear a chain swap without custom wheel offsetting. Unfortunately, it will require swingarm modification 90+% of the time.

Oddly enough, a 165-15 bias ply car tire fits fine usually.

Go with an 18" wheel, better selection of proper tires than in 19".

Maybe.....however lots of folks have gone to the "dark side" with great success. The back tire on the Honda Gold Wing, ST1100/ST1300.....or the back of the Suzuki Burgman....and even our Savage. Oldfeller has been running a car tire on his for years, and MMRanch has really good luck with his until he ran it with too little air for a while....and that screwed up the chords in the casing.

I personally don't put car tires on my bikes - but those who do generally get twice the mileage from the car tire....and it generally is cheaper to buy the car tire. The really serious folks who go on long tours can put on a car tire and make the entire trip without changing tires - while on a designated and proper motorcycle touring tire - the same trip would require a tire change in the rear.

Someday I will be old......But not today!
