No context, it's impossible to know if he was pointing out just how Wrong what he said was.

Now THAT's some slick editing....  of course if it reinforces your beliefs already, then you'll love it and call me an idiot or Obama lover for just pointing out the truth.

it's somewhere in the middle, kinda all over the middle, the original clip is EDITED to put those statements side by side to make it look like he said that, cause well, he did say it, in two completely different parts of the same speech

in context, he's talking about the history of governance and what ideas have been tried

here's some context, WARNING, it's a bit long so only go forward if you can understand more than soundbites

"Leaders and dignitaries of the European Union; representatives of our NATO Alliance; distinguished guests:  We meet here at a moment of testing for Europe and the United States, and for the international order that we have worked for generations to build.

Throughout human history, societies have grappled with fundamental questions of how to organize themselves, the proper relationship between the individual and the state, the best means to resolve inevitable conflicts between states.  And it was here in Europe, through centuries of struggle -- through war and Enlightenment, repression and revolution -- that a particular set of ideals began to emerge:  The belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose.  The belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed, and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.  And those ideas eventually inspired a band of colonialists across an ocean, and they wrote them into the founding documents that still guide America today, including the simple truth that all men -- and women -- are created equal.

But those ideals have also been tested -- here in Europe and around the world.  Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often, this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others, and that individual identity must be defined by “us” versus “them,” or that national greatness must flow not by what a people stand for, but by what they are against."

So he's not embracing the ideology of that clip, just acknowledging that is a theory of governance.

and at the end of the speech he's cheering on freedom over tyranny

"And that’s the question we all must answer -- what kind of Europe, what kind of America, what kind of world will we leave behind.  And I believe that if we hold firm to our principles, and are willing to back our beliefs with courage and resolve, then hope will ultimately overcome fear, and freedom will continue to triumph over tyranny -- because that is what forever stirs in the human heart."

That is a compelling argument.  I do have to say over the years he has made a number of statements that support marxist ideals & the edited clip.

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

"If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

"The legacy of Jim Crow and slavery has not gone away. It is not an accident that African-Americans experience high crime rates, are poor, and have less wealth. It is a direct result of our racial history."

Not to mention bammy-care & NDAA

Best regards,

The fundamentally transforming America statement: To be honest, I don't know what the hell that's about, the only thing I'm guessing is that it's a reference to a glass ceiling shattering moment, since it's picking out a particular day, and he didn't say something like 5 days away from "a new beginning of fundamentally transforming" America.  So I take it more as a note about being the FIRST Black President and not about some secret socialist agenda, but you've read into it what you want already.  But it's been 8 years, so, tell me, what's fundamentally different?

The "If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."  statement:  this is sloppy English, but the word "THAT"  refers back to the previous sentence when he was talking about the infrastructure, not the word "business"   The reason that makes sense:  the initial clause "If YOU'VE GOT a business - "  already acknowledges that YOU own the business, that the business IS yours, so it'd be directly contradictory to the sentence to think that the word "that" refers to the business.  And that'd just be some really, really, really sloppy English, we're talking even beyond triple negatives and run-on sentence kinda crap.

Another take on it could be, if there's not infrastructure leading to your business, how are you going to do business?  So you do owe a measure of your success to the roads and infrastructure built by PUBLIC dollars.  Yes, some of those dollars were yours, but not all of them, so you do owe some debt to the PUBLIC for your success.  Do you think all the roads should be private toll roads?

The "The legacy of Jim Crow and slavery has not gone away. It is not an accident that African-Americans experience high crime rates, are poor, and have less wealth. It is a direct result of our racial history." Statement:  If you want to deny discrimination, well, you haven't walked in their shoes, but do what you want. The discrimination isn't as OVERT as it was but it's still there, it is MUCH better than it was before but it didn't just go away, but if you think things just change like a light switch, okay, but until 2010, the county I work in was democratic, JUST BECAUSE LINCOLN WAS REPUBLICAN. the democrats here were MUCH MUCH more like republicans in Pennsylvania, so things tend to linger, it's inertia and human nature.

Bammy-care is a Heritage foundation/conservative idea, almost down to the letter, great handout to insurance companies, but at least some non-discriminatory regulations are in it.

NDAA - you're going to have to be more specific, I remember there being some crap about this back when it happened but I forget exactly what the issue was.  but in it's purest form (which I doubt has ever been passed) it's a United States federal law specifying the budget and expenditures of the United States Department of Defense.  Do you not want the Department of Defense to have a budget???

Social strife, leo being hunted, 1 out 4 are on the govt dole, no-borders, record national debt, and involuntary detention without trial.  He’s been at the helm for 8 years, can’t blame “W” anymore.

The media was used to LIE us into Nam, and every recent conflict.
But people just See them stirring racial strife and call That
Greedy media trying to sell to viewers.

Am I the only one who sees that THE NEWS OUTLET that is telling The Different story, the story of the evidence that CLEARS the cop who shot Michael Brown as he Charged at the cop, instead of those lies that were exactly the same on every news outlet.

Really? When do you start suspecting that Someone is TELLING them what to say?
Before the economy crashes, they NEED a societal problem sufficient to declare martial law.
