Preemptive header nut maintenance

I went to check the header bolts and they seemed OK, I didn't back them off just gave it a small amount of torque as I didn't want to over tighten. But then I remembered how difficult it was to get the bolts out of my gs500 when the time came... so I was wondering if it's OK to remove the exhaust bolts one at a time and apply some anti seize on the bolts and re torque to spec. By OK I mean is this going to damage the crush washer.

There's only 2 bolts so I would take'm out at the same time. lube'm up good and put them back in.

I would much rather have to tighten it up once in a while than try to get a busted bolt out. Steel bolt going into aluminum head and subject to high heat. Bad mojo combination.

Snug them up with a 1/4" ratchet using one hand.....don't over tighten them.

When I screw the bolts all the way in, 17mm goes into the head. Add to that the width of the exaust pipe clamp, how much you need to put a nut (optional washers) in place, and wiggle room.

Of course, the cat (a.k.a. "Garage Troll") will be supervising.

And the bracket has a completely flat surface that mates with the cylinder head. Never seen that before.

The flat surface of the bracket should not be touching the cylinder head....there should be some clearance - as the gasket between the header and cylinder head should be what is touching....not the body of the bracket.

Obviously so you won't burn yourself but also because, uhh... I don't know. 'Cuz I was told not to try and remove them when the metal is hot. It supposedly might cause galling or something.
