What I feel is YES, much of the "stuff" Trump is doing was taboo.....

It was ridiculed by the dems, media, academia elitist.
PC'ness was/is,effectively, censorship, no dialogue allowed, and campuses where shut down, to open exchange of ideas.

America should be able to withstand free speech.....
However, well, Trump is now the flip side, and the left cries foul, and justifies hate.

When you don't ALLOW debate, exchange, input, and lose your pulpit, well, what did you think was going to happen?
They would extend to you, what you wouldn't, extend to them?

Go figger.

I just think Trump needs to use Vaseline, is all.......I mean, friction is friction  Grin

Using Vaseline, as you call it, is part of the problem.  To suggest that one needs to be coddled is condescending.  Facts are facts they should not require "vaseline".  If facts offend someone then that is their shortcoming and it shouldn't be the requirement of the one relaying the facts to water it down or tip toe around it.  Facts don't care about feelings and if someone is to delicate to listen to facts objectively then I suggest that they have some growing up to do.

No a good analogy because selling ice to eskimos by lying to them is the opposite of what I'm saying, because it is contrary to the facts.  You will never please everyone, and if you try to by pandering to them you not only subvert the truth and give credence to their falsehood, you embolden then and this will snowball into the pc, thought policing we have today

Really  ????????

Let’s see, you are stating/defining, a, ’New”,  PC  word.

Used to be:   “10%  L or R”
(Those 10%’ers, are un swayed, and are  TOTALLY   L/R)
Then the 20%’ers.
(Those are the people that, ‘lean’, to the R/L)
Then their is  the,  ‘Middle”.

So we now know the ’New’  PC  word, for the 10%’ers to the right.
So the 10%’ers to the Left, accept the,  (New  PC  Word,   ‘Ultra-Liberal) ?
                    Right  ?????
So what is the new, ‘PC  Correct”, word for the 20%’ers, to the L/R ?
What is the new,  ‘PC  Correct”, word for the 40%’ers, in the Middle ?

( NOTE:   %   Numbers vary on many things,
  but you get the idea)

So,  to  be,  ‘Politically  Correct’,
what exactly is the ’new’,  PC   word   for,
someone who is  30% +/-,  to the Right ????????

Sometimes sarcasm is difficult to discern when you only have words and not other cues to rely on

Wow - a little touchy aren't we??   LOL

Get over yourself, huh - White nationalist Richard Spencer coined the term in 2010 to define a movement centered on white nationalism

Yeah, he's a real PC guy, right?

Can you clarify the difference between the right & alt-right?

Best regards,

As I understand it, alt-right is a term that a "new breed" of right-wingers is using.  They are aligned with white supremacists and neo-nazis.  They're the ones you've seen saying "hail trump" at their meetings and giving salutes that mimic the nazi salute.

Those on the right (again, as I understand it) are more traditional republicans.  They hold their convictions tightly and don't waiver on any  republican stances.  No matter what.  However, they're not racists.

While I don't care to get into the definition of "Alt-right" I am a Constitutional Conservative and an extreme "Right" person - after all, going right - as far as the Founding Fathers can't be too right can it?  I have yet to see one "Right" person ever do the Nazi salute or be racists in the systematic sense.  It is true that there are racists everywhere, on both sides (Liberal and Conservative) but not encased in the system - that is, at least not the system of the Right, but very much so in the system of the Left and the Democrats.  They are full of racists!

Building the wall between us and Mexico, doesn't endanger anything except for the millions of ILLEGALS who come over and mooch off us, and suck us dry of money!  If that offends the president of Mexico then so be it.  It is what straight thinking Americans want.

Part of being a "Conservative Constitutionalist" is also being free market (unless there is illegal actions) and that does trouble me about Trump.  In enacting tariffs on imports, it just denies American citizens the benefits of products and lower prices!

George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984 has topped Amazon’s best seller list just three days after Kellyanne Conway used the phrase “alternative facts” in an interview on Sunday’s Meet the Press.

I think that was from people wanting to read up on what Obama had been doing the previous 8 years.....!

Seriously, anyone invoking 1984 is as ridiculous as those idiots with Hitler signs at these protests.

Melodramatic much?.....
