Of course, then some hippy says this - obviously a loser....

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

How about some more, INFORMATION  ??????

Did that,  (you said  Hippy),   Say those words, because they were smoking a  Dubie, and ‘Profound’  things were said, because he want to keep  smoking a  Dubie, and have EVERYONE  ELSE,  PAY  for  HIM/HER ?

Or;  was it said, by a hard working person, (who works their Azz off),
but  just can’t seem to get ahead.

It would make a   HUGE,  Difference, as to which,  POV, that statement came from.

Can you say ?  Or are you just  ’throwing’ it out their, because, it fits  your vision of,
“Don’t work, Don’t try to get ahead, Don’t try to improve.
Just Sit back, and let   EVERYONE Else, do it for you, and pay for you”.

So  incredibly  ‘Clever’,  in  your, (hippy), implied.
           quoted,  Statement.
" ...a little ploy on my part..."

Guess  I don’t hold a  candle to your  superior  Intellect,
in all the things/subjects you post in.

After all, any, ’sarcasm’, I may post,
is  quickly, put aside by your  Wit & Knowledge.

Just like your stating:
“  But good news to all the the mentally unfit to own firearms - they can own again!!!  ”

It must  be,   ‘Perfectly’  and  ’Totally’,  Correct !
           (Because  you said so)

So why bother with wasting time,
Giving a  ‘opinion’, on a subject.

Because, you are superior, so much that, any other comment,  (to your statements),   Mean nothing,   regardless of any, sarcasm.

You are  SO,   Superior,  you see right through them  !

(Gosh,  wish I was 100%,
in  100%  of the Time,
in 100% of opinions,
like you)

I agree with a lot of what he said, But,
We May have strayed from principle a time or ten.

Any nation's right to form of government and an economic system of its own choosing is inalienable.
Any nation's attempt to dictate to other nations their form of government is indefensible.

Now, let's consider this

The amassing of the Soviet power alerted free nations to a new danger of aggression. It compelled them in self-defense to spend unprecedented money and energy for armaments. It forced them to develop weapons of war now capable of inflicting instant and terrible punishment upon any aggressor.

I only got Told about the Necessity to Add to our military and weaponry in order to Keep Up with Russia. I was in the air force, 1973, when the news was
We MUST add to our Nukular Capabilities, because Russia had enough to destroy the world more times than we did.

Uhh, excuse me, perfessor, But, how many times do we need to be able to make Earth UNINHABITABLE before we have created sufficient Deterrent?

Idiots clapped and cheered, and said
Yes! Let's build our arsenal!

Don't forget about what the Same Man told us as he left office.

TT, Clearly, the only honest answer to your question is,
NEVER.
The Military Industrial Complex must be fed.
The only way to Keep it fed is Use the equipment or simply jack up prices and
Build a weapon, airplane, missile, whatever, that is the military equivalent of a Too Big to Fail bank. The People get to just keep pouring money into an ever increasing hole.
I'm not even disappointed that Trump is gonna suck. I expected it, while I hoped he wouldn't. The option?
You have two boxes and you're Gonna Hafta open one. You Know that one is a booby trap. It's a hand grenade, but the other box isn't Certainly a disaster, so, the only choice is, the one you're not Sure is a devastating mistake.

Ike told us, and I have linked to intelligent, respected men who said the same thing. The ones we elect aren't the ones making the real decisions. Ohh, they get to parade around, spend our money and do a few peripheral things, but they don't seem to be able to audit the fed or get us OFF of the Emergency War Powers. If that doesn't matter, then why do it?
We, America, are not what we have been taught in school or told by the media or the government.
