Nuclear energy would solve a lot of these 'carbon problems' but it's attacked with the same furor reserved for the dreaded climate denier.

Have you heard of nuclear waste?...
How 'bout Chernobyl?... Huh

Fukushima continues to belch radioactive water into the Pacific. The BP sabotage of the Gulf was nothing compared to that mess. And nobody has a clue about how to stop it. IOW, it Could Be a huge extinction event. Why do you think it isn't a constant coverage item on the news?

Of course I have.
Have you heard of the billions wasted on renewable energy companies?

Which is my point exactly. Nuclear waste is a technical problem that can be dealt with so we should deal with. Store it until we have a working space elevator in a hundred years or so and then give containers full of it a nudge towards the sun.

Chernobyl was in Russia, was a generation ago and taught a lot of valuable lessons. People were killed while we figured out how to deal with electricity in our homes, but we didn't quit. In fact, people still die every year from electrical issues, but we don't go back to candles.

"There have been three major reactor accidents in the history of civil nuclear power – Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and Fukushima. One was contained without harm to anyone, the next involved an intense fire without provision for containment, and the third severely tested the containment, allowing some release of radioactivity.
These are the only major accidents to have occurred in over 17,000 cumulative reactor-years of commercial nuclear power operation in 33 countries. "

We're told to stick with solar and wind so we'll eventually work out the technical difficulties to their widespread success. I agree with that. Stick with nuclear and work out it's technical difficulties.

There isn't a constant coverage because there isn't anything to cover....

Get out frummunda the rock and do some research.
Just because they aren't squawking about it doesn't mean it's not a problem. The media is not gonna be telling us about a Huge Problem that doesn't appear to have a solution. Chernobyl was at least possible to entomb in cement. Radioactive water is leaking into the Pacific and they are so desperate for a solution that they have tried to freeze the GROUND and create an ice wall.

I wonder how they decontaminate the water.
As much      as media lie, why believe we are told about things?

You use that same scientific analysis to decide that GMOs are safe?

GMO's are safe. You've eaten GMO's for years.

Now, if someone's conducting research and introducing modified products illegally, that's another matter. But that's something that could (and does) happen in all areas of business and life, not just food production.

Nope, GMOs are dangerous.
Trying to equate GMOS and the ancient methods of crop breeding and hybridization is scientific fraud.

I put as much faith in that single "study" as I do Hilary's explanation why she set up a server in her basement.

Unless you have another explanation for
Hair growing between teeth
You might want to think about what you are saying.
Maybe the pictures are fake.
