I don't believe the study is valid. Why hasn't it been duplicated? You trying to tell me liberal universities wouldn't fall over themselves to be the ones to kill off GMO? University of Berkley would have a collective hardon for years if they could show mice with hairy teeth. You're pinning your hopes on a single study done in Russia?

Have a safe, comfortable trip. And if you find time to enjoy yourself, DO IT!  Do as much of that as you can. Do enough to make up for some miserable assholes who never enjoy anything. Somebody gotta counter the negative aura they create. I think I'm personally responsible for negating the negativity of at least a dozen sourpusses just working on the corners on the trip to the doctor.
Some Fine roads out there, between areas littered with iron ore pebbles and the occasional harsh elevation change or wash out,,,, and various other hazards that may arise.

At hotel in Phoenix and confess didn't read your links. Watch 3 episodes of Hulu's 11/23/63. Interesting show.

I always take time to smell the roses on my trips. Flagstaff tomorrow, maybe side trip to Brice Canyon but it's stupid hot here. 119 when landed.

the first two links didn't work and based on the titles, none of them are about hairy teeth on mice.

back to topic. Like I said, I'm working around Phoenix this week. No way renewable energy could keep up with this demand and why should people turn ac up to "save " energy if they can afford it?

our friend Sew is partially right. lets say a target was set, 15% energy from wind, solar, tidal sources and leave it at that.

Fukushima continues to belch radioactive water into the Pacific. The BP sabotage of the Gulf was nothing compared to that mess. And nobody has a clue about how to stop it. IOW, it Could Be a huge extinction event. Why do you think it isn't a constant coverage item on the news?

There was a documentary on the bikini a bomb test after x years.
On the island itself, radiation levels are still too high to allow the natives back.
But offshore, all the wrecks measured safe.  The chlorine in the water (salt) rendered the contaminates safe.
This doesn't mean initially there wasn't some weird stuff going on, it just won't happen for very long.

IMO, shutting down all nukes is a mistake as the spent fuel from these are hazardous for thousands of years.
Instead, they should be converted to thorium reactors that will convert that 1000 year waste to 100 year waste 1st.
It's either that or ship all that waste to the sun.
