First I heard of it.
So Looked a dozen ’news’, sites.

First, The Navy ship,  did not hit the container ship.
The Container Ship, HIT, the Navy Ship.
   (Contrary to many headlines,
     which are  LIES  when they say the Navy ship hit …)

Next,  (Stevie Wonder can see this),
The Navy Ship was dead in the water, or moving, V E R Y, slowly.
As can be clearly seen by the photos of the damage.

On the Navy ship AND, the Container ship.
Their is  no evidence, (by photos), of the Navy ship moving.

What was Not answered, (Perhaps never be).
Who, was in control of the Container Ship?
And What, are the, ‘Beliefs’, of that person?
Was it a freak Accident, or was it on Purpose?
What was the course of the Container ship ?
 (They  BOTH  have radar)
Did the Container ship, ’steer’ towards the Navy ship?
Was the Navy ship in a normal, ‘Lane’, if the container ship
was on, ‘Auto’, and had no one at the helm, or on radar?

Their are SO  Many Question, (at this time)  Totally Un-answered !

WHAT,  Was the Navy ship, to BLOW, the Container ship out of the water?
  (WOW, would  BOT  go nuts on that, as it is, he is nuts for, ‘Assuming things Not In Evidence’).

Is the Navy telling, all that happened up to that point?
(Most  Probably Not, Very much un like the Last POTUS, who would say:
  “Next Tuesday, at 2:37 Your Time, the USA is going to bomb area,  X/Y”)

As to the under waterline damage, to the Navy ship,
 Understand how, sea traveling ships are designed for the last 40+ years.
Than think of the shape of a fish, that often swims close to the surface?
   (Porpoise/Dolphin)

Also the Container ship, was 3-4 LARGER, (in Tonnage), than the Navy ship.
So to stop, or slow down, turn, takes, 3-4 times  LONGER.

So  Many questions yet un answered.
Especially, about the Container Ship.

And NOT, a time to say:

It was NOT,  ‘WE’ that crashed a boat,
it was someone else, that, RAMMED, our boat!

Ahh, so it was a Drill! And of course the Japanese would Gladly bend a ship up if it means they will be able to protect themselves militarily by dispatching a flotilla of stealth container ships into the North Korean waters and just crush their military ships by sneaking up on them.

As an ex US Navy sailor, who has spent time at sea, and stood bridge watches, both during the day and at night, in all kinds of weather, my only comment about all the preceding posts in this thread, is that not a single one of you guys has the faintest idea WTF you are talking about.

This was a horrible, tragic accident. An accident that killed seven young american sailors in a way that few people could even imagine, Trapped, probably in the dark, waked from sleep in a metal compartment rapidly filling with seawater until they drowned.
