The military, as an entity, is run well. Yes, it's somewhat wasteful, but we have the best trained, best equipped force on the planet.

We should put some of that waste into universal healthcare.

Medicare works pretty good...
It runs more efficiently than any of the HMO's and has a higher customer satisfaction...
That's better,.. and cheaper,.. and the government runs it...
It would be better and cheaper still, if it were for everybody. 350 millions customers would have some serious negotiating power with Pharma and other health products.
That's how virtually every other country does better for less than we do.
