Yeah unfortunately. Photobucket isn't hosting photos for other websites for free anymore
They didn't warn anyone and even got a ton of people on Amazon and Ebay. They are asking $399 to re-enable 3rd party hosting I believe.

Photobucket replaces millions of images with 'ransom demand'
http://www.csoonline.com/article/3205765/internet/photobucket-replaced-millio...
Quote:
Stampboards pointed out that users “have no guarantee [Photobucket] will still be in business even in a month the way this disaster is rolling out.” Instead of paying to remove the “’WannaCry’ Gangster like $US400 cash Demand dial,” the forum announcement suggested,
“someone at Photobucket with a brain will see the disaster they have unleashed, and back off totally, or in large part in the next week.”
Hopefully this will be corrected by PBucket.
No way will people pay $400 ransom.
I have removed my Avatar photo and signature photo until events unfold.
No way is it possible to replace every photo ever posted...
PBucket will self destruct if they do not reverse course...

There's another nastier aspect to this. I was on another web forum the other night and went to look at a photo on Photo Bucket.
As soon as I clicked on the third party hosting thing, I was informed that I had ad blocking software on my computer and Photo Bucket immediately attempted to overwrite my Adblock Plus with ad block disabling software with out even asking me if I wanted to disable my Adblock. I just closed out of the whole thing. Photo Bucket, stuff your ASS with broken glass.

Hi guys! I know i haven't been around in a long time, but when i saw the email from PB, i knew it was probably causing havoc here. Not sure what yall are doing about pics now, but I'm not paying their ridiculous amount. I know we used my wiring diagrams, so if y'all still need those, somebody send me a pm. I'll get an email notification since i don't check in here much anymore. (finally did sell my bike this year) :(
But anyway, hope all is well with everyone! 8-)

A really easy site to use for posting pictures where you don't need any membership is
https://postimage.org
You just load up your photos, and you get a choice of links, best to use the one that says Direct Link, just put it in the image tags, and you're good to go.
