Yes Jog, I get all of that, on the surface anyway....
I am not an accountant, nor do I need to dig deeper to find out this issue is bigger than me.
Is the system rigged, indeed.
Is it fair, no, but that is subjective anyway, and if you figure in alternatives, a monetary system to allow commerce, you solve one problem, only to see that created another.
As our world shrinks, trade/commerce, etc, gets even more complex.
Do we require a world wide minimum wage to allow everyone equal access to engage in consuming?
Do trade embargoes and tariffs hurt the effluent or lower class?

Jog, it all comes down to the gold standard.
And that is, treat others the way you want to be treated
