Thanks for the comments!
Fitting the second one to frame went well. Petcock bungs are welded and did the initial pressure test. There are a few small leaks mostly where I ground through corner welds when smoothing. Fixing those is next.

Filler bungs welded in. Passed pressure test! (air in tank to 5 psi and submerge in a sink of water) Last step is to even out the brushed finish.

Silly southern boy! That would have to be Long Island Tea. Need some alcohol in it or it will freeze up here.
What Sandman hasn't told you is he does all this work in an unheated garage up here in Minnesota.

He's devised ways to do all of this build and he ain't got no heat?!?!
I use a little Lasko ceramic heater (probably $30) Just let it run for a few days when I'm working. It warms things up just enough to make life not miserable.

I will run a propane heater when it's really cold but I can't run it too long or I get condensation on everything. That's why I save my sheet metal work for the dead of winter, I can do all but the welding inside.

I've got a few time sensitive projects to complete before I can dive in again. While those projects come to a close I'm gathering exhaust components and have a few final things to fit to the frame and then I can begin a full mechanical assembly and start wiring, the battery box and rear fender. Targeting to be road ready by the time the weather warms up.

Fake oil tank profile options for housing battery and electrics. Or I suppose it could be a fake beer tank. You can probably guess my choice. Either way it will be about 5 inches thick. Which profile do you like, round or oblong?
