For you have to lose your own composure, to let taunting be effective.
But as a business man, he should know a well placed head shot is more sporting AND appreciated, by disciplined folk, than using a machine gun to just spray out wantonly...

I can't help but assign a "out of control" gunman, to this technique....
Hoping to hit his target, without regard to how much collateral damage it creates in the process.

It leaves me with the impression he IS out of control, having become unhinged, taking it, rejection and ridicule, too personally.
He appears to have no qualms at all about ridiculing others, in hopes of minimizing and avoiding to directly answer any charges in opposition to his beliefs....
Mercy, you see that here a lot, and it proves nothing, nor adds to the quality of this board.

One might hope at on the presidential stage, a person would have their act together, raising dialogue with hope of fostering an enviroment where it can be appreciated and valued.
I don't see how lower the bar, and decorum, can ever bring any issue to a point where a sustainable debate, and fix, become possible.

I believe all its doing is promoting a "useful fool" doctrine, and we are seeing this play out in a negative way upon our society.
All one has to do is look at the fringe on both sides, often exhorting to stampeding a herd, by their out of control actions, violence, and draconian results.
All it does is foster more, of what they rebel against, but in their rage and blindness, neglect to see, or understand, they are contributing to their own demise, by effecting such "out of control" actions at attaining their desire(s).

I see Trump leading one herd, and I see entities in opposition to (his) personality, leading the other, with lots of residual effects of policy indifference's, but sadly resolution gets buried behind the lines of warfare, and not debated openly in any intellectually honest enviroment.

Sorry for the long rant, but do you see any positive effect of these two sides deploying this tit for tat mentality?

I wonder who will move away from this losing mindset, first, which will reveal those left standing on the battlefield, yelling at imaginary opposition, looking like the useful fool, who they really are.....
