Krapperdick......
08/25/17 at 14:21:47

Of note: my titling of this thread is in jest, like funny, haha.
If anyone has an issue with it, upsetting their fragile, little, frail life, I apologize beforehand, and plead ignorance, as I have never experienced such a tender and vulnerable mindset to living life on its terms.

Point of subject:

When I pay money for a service, or product, I want that contract to be honored.
My check should clear, my CC accepted and funds transferred accordingly.
With that I want to see a player, play the game.
A singer, sing.
A comedian entertain.
I don't want a sermon on Friday night, nor do I want your personal beliefs imposed on me as if it's your right to do so....

Our constitution does it guarantee your personal rights, views, and beliefs, over mine, even tho it seems some now appear to believe they must have been granted such.

If you can't respect my personhood, you forfeit your own claim upon others to respect yours.
It is not rocket science, nor farming, even tho some appear to bury their heads in the dirt to avoid the reality of how life works with considerations extended to all, or none.

Does my view have merit?
If not, why?

I saw another athlete say his politics weren't exactly what was keeping him out. IDK squat about his talent, but that guy said he isn't that great.

Yes, you have complete freedom to express your feelings about everything political, religious, whatever.
Others have the right to dislike you.

It really seams that people are forever thinking that their success in one area in life means their feelings are of greater importance; be they entertainers, artists, politicians, and athletes etc.  Kap wanted to bring attention to an issue (which already has nightly news coverage).  But, as a  WASP, I never had a lifetime of crap so he doesn't stand, no biggie.  He no longer plays- again no biggie to me.  If he is being blackballed because he "spoke out" on an unpleasant topic, that is not so good. From what I hear, it is a triumvirate of issues.

eg. I hate Trump as an individual, and most of his positions politically.
The Patriots gave him a Superbowl ring - an insult to everyone but I will still cheer on the Patriots cause I know Kraft and Tom are- unbelievably, supporter of Trump.  Proves my point I think, they are great at Football, asses on choice of friends.

Tolerance is a two way street - everything else is a dead-end.

Sound words to live by - you should try it ray.

The people who fought and died for our flag and freedoms did so to allow morons like these to take a knee in protest at the National Anthem.  It's the same rights as the nazis (who live in this country) have when they march and fly the stars and bars.

You don't have to like it... you can even protest against it.  But it's what this country is founded on.

“…allow morons like these to take a knee in protest at the National Anthem…”

  NO  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Case in point, Pre,  B. Clintons first election.
I,  PAID, to go to the Guthrie Theater, and watch a  Comedian.
I  DID    NOT,   PAY,   for a,  ‘CLINTON’   Rally !!!!!!!!!

What I GOT  was,  Whoopi  Goldberg,  CAMPAIGNING,  for  Clinton.

A, ‘football’, (or other), player, ‘excising a  POV’,
When they are under,  CONTRACT, to  play that, ‘game’.
And the people, that  PAY, to see that,   “Game”.
Should NOT,  BE   Subject to their  Political POV.
(and it is  MINE, and,  MILLIONS, of other to  P & M, about it)

NOW, if that person,
Who is a  ’sports person’, gives their political  POV, on/in, another format.
  It IS  Their Right !!!!!!!

It is,  EXACTLY, like a person with,
black, skin. Interfacing with you in a perfectly  Normal way.
They are a, ‘Person,’ just like you.

Yet if a a  ‘black’, skinned, person, is looking to  steal/Intimidate,
they are  JUST,  a   D.F..N…….

  (YET,  the,  ’snowflakes’, cry,   ‘Raisest’)

If a, ’Sports’ person, Does, NOT, believe, in the Country, and the Business, that pays them  Millions a  Year.
(Based on what the  people that come to see, the game, ‘played’.)

Then Stay In the  LOCKER  room, until the game starts !!!!!!!!!

They want to, express their  political POV,  FINE.
Do it in the,  Rainbow, or  Nazi  ‘march’.

Do,  NOT,  do it, where many  Millions, (live and on T.V)  are watching.
They are,  NOT, getting paid to do that.

It seems, More, of  the, ‘football owners’, are  Laying down that law.
(Guessing it is they  SEE  their,  revenue, going, Down)

I have the Right to express my feelings with regard to all things political, religious, morals, ethics, I can write a book. Nobody is obligated to buy it, appreciate it, and the ones who Do read it, they have every Right to throw it down in disgust and protest against me.
And my employer has the Right to fire me if I have attitudes and beliefs that grate against my employers ideology.

Google fired that guy, even though what he said actually supported the goals of diversity. It was just controversial to those who can not read.
But, he's gone. Kapperdik capped himself, in th dik. Oopsies.

I understand what it actually means to live in a free country.

Apparently you don't.

Respect is earned, not given.  Go be a black person for a while.  Oh wait, supposedly, you're a Native American... you mean to tell me you have unconditional love for everything this country did for you?

If someone expects ME to have a tingle down my leg when they fly over the football field, forget it. And that song makes me sad. The criminal military adventurism isn't Our Good Military fighting for Our Freedoms.
Seriously, who believes thatshITT?

Point to anyone who has been an existential threat .  Do it. Name the wars we've been in that YOUR RIGHTS would have been threatened If we hadn't joined the fight.

Yeah,

ZERO..

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/11/04/millions-paid-pro-teams-patrio...

Pentagon paid sports teams millions for patriotic events...

The MIC doesn't Want Americans to be prosperous. The sorrier the job prospects, the easier to get cannon fodder to sign up.
The ignorant are willing to believe the mission is a moral one.

you mean to tell me you have unconditional love for everything this country did for you?

I will most likely NEVER rise to that virtue....
I pray I will honor that commandment, extending real sustainable love to all, but I am my worse hurdle to its promises of attainment.

I could lie, pretend, pass laws, write songs, stories, about injustices, blame and absolve, yet, my heart still knows the truth.

I can then get angry at those who point out my lies, but it only adds to my burden, moving the goal post even further away from me, making scoring even less likely.

I am flesh and blood, not righteous, perfect, or God.
I am a sinner, as plain and simple as a man who resides on a throne, or one who is chained in a dungeon.
When cut, the effects are exactly the same for both.
Hurt, fear, tears, and much more tethers us all, together....
We desire support, even wish and pray, for it when we need it, yet, we find it hard to give to others, when they need it.......why?

Or, am I unique, alone in this failure, none others in this world share my burden.....
That does not seem possible, to me, for I do not see any testimony, or witness, of this loving, caring, giving, to others, which I would think would be extremely obvious, if it was true.

Is it because man is not capable of real love?

Can he not overcome that which constrains him, ever?

I haven't been able to, but I won't stop hoping I can.
I am blessed with a plan.
Given to me through a spirit.
I acknowledge this, therefor, I have no excuse to not try and attain its promise.
If I fail, its on me.
No one else.

We are getting close to trying to understand what is life, now it would seem.
A question that has riddled man since he strung two thoughts together, and it appears, at times, no closer to its answer than when he first considered it....
I can not tell you its meaning either, I can offer perspective only.
I believe it is to attain enlightenment, which if practiced, will lead to another clue, of that which lies ahead (of you) on your journey through life.
I believe, if I honestly attempt this, with free heart and will, I will be rewarded, not the same as "I have won"......
With the answer (revealed)  that allows me to overcome the constraints of this life, and that is of death.......

Funny in a sad way, how that works.

I will, in effect, have solved that riddle, and now knowingly so, come to realize I can not give the answer to others, who still suffer the pains of living in their own journey.

Ah.... too deep for a Saturday, ain't it  Grin
