I think it was my great, great, grandmother, she was granted a tract of land by, if I remember correctly, Grover Cleveland himself.
I have seen these documents, or copies of them I mean.
It has her name, and his name, signature of the grant/deed.
The only stipulation on it was she must hold the land for 5 years before she could sell it, etc.
Later, when the state wanted the property for their use, they just took it.
Along with a lot of other grants, too.
They returned some of it, years later, toxic and damaged, etc.
I am not really up to snuff on all of it, as it has been going on for so long.
I just move on, and live my life accordingly.
Getting a cash settlement will change nothing of the past, or right the wrongs of those who perpetuated such devious actions on others....
That is real life.
All this other crap, is just that, crap.
These " do gooders" would better serve themselves to just open a bottle every morning, and stay there.....
Letting folks who want to live life with accepting all its wrongs, and overcoming them, assuring a good breeding stock advances, while the lessor, melt.......
