From the time of the Pharos we have watched (at least we have written  accounts ((and yes we know how accurate THEY can be)) names stricken from official records, statues destroyed.  Fast forward a few millennium and we have ISIS destroying statues and artifacts from the historic Middle Eastern empires.  Not to be left (ho ho) in the historic shadows, we now have various groups wanting to tear down and statues of the Confederacy's leaders.  And in the one step forward two steps back program, good old Chic Columbus' statue taken down and his "Day" being renamed Indigenous peoples Day.  
Jeez, by the  time Leaf Erickson gets his due, they wont allow any Leaf Statues, which the gals and gays will probably cheer about.

What do you expect from an educated populace?
