Misses and then dies (Read 87 times)

Posts: 2	Misses and then dies 10/01/17 at 15:56:40 I went for a ride and the bike started acting like it was out of gas (it wasn't), switched to reserve and the bike kept running but missing and backfiring and lurching. I nursed it home(about 2 mile), pulled into the garage and it dies, no lights of power at all. Any ideas?

California Gender:	Re: Misses and then dies Reply #2 - 10/01/17 at 17:15:20 You should check your battery to see if it's fully charged, then check to see if it is charging properly. If you're not riding at a mid to high rpm around a half hour for every start, then your battery won't keep fully charged.

I put an old battery in it and it started and ran and the VOM shows that it appears to be charging! I'll get a new battery and put the pieces back together and do a road test. I've had 2 AGM batteries and both shorted out...1 MC and 1 RV.
