Yes, believe it or not!

Looks like tweety has a soft spot for elephants - good!

Big-game trophy decision will be announced next week but will be very hard pressed to change my mind that this horror show in any way helps conservation of Elephants or any other animal.

I will concede it being wrong of me to think he would just sign the reversal of this act... IF he does indeed NOT sign it.  I will gladly eat some crow to not have this repeal happen.

See pub & cons - it's not that hard to admit you're wrong... You should all try it some time!

Let’s hope so.....
I do not understand killing of game for trophy, especially animals that are on the verge of extinction in their wild habitat.

I'm down with bringing home taxidermied poachers. But shooting something just to swell your chest and brag
I killed that?
Bullshit.

I can't get worked up over this one way or the other. Conservation programs that include hunting can actually increase population. That's happened pleny of times before. Happening right now in Missouri with elk. But Elephants are slow to mature, 10 or 12 years I think. That seems like it rules hunting and the revenue it would bring. Too long to replace the population. Maybe this was somebody's plan to thwart poaching.

I'm not crying over elephants, deer or even Cecil the lion. Between poultry, pork and beef, I'll bet we kill easily over 1 million a each day in this country. No one's crying over Porky Pig.

That you don't see the difference between elephants and everything else listed is telling.

Not sure what it tells other than I view animals as just that, animals. Whatever sense of belonging you give to an elephant isn't given to a cow or a chicken. If elephants grew quickly and tasted good, we'd have McDumbo burgers being served.
