Ain't It Grand ?
12/08/17 at 11:10:57

I just got my letter from the Social Security .... The cost of living went up 2% so my monthly checks in 2018 will be $2.80 LESS than they were in 2017... Which will be $24.80 Less than they were in 2015....I also received a note from the bank.... Due to the increase in property taxes and insurance my monthly morage payment will be $15.00 more than it was in 2017.  And $55.00 more than it was in 2015.....       One of these days I need to take a course in what ever form of math the Gummurment buree-crats use.... U gotta hand it to them, they can't do anything but they get the COLA stats and what specifically they are based on, is the most hotly contended part of most municipal negotiations.

The reduction in your monthly checks for 2018 suggests that the number is after the reduction for health insurance??

Yes, the increase in taxes seems inevitable, and insurance, given all their loses in the Gulf, the Islands and Calif seems destined to increase.

On the other hand, I don't think they want us living longer and we are and I am not yet ready to change my status. Grin

Here, let me see if I can help you to understand their formula.....

They take 110% of your money, for they built EVERYTHING and you USE everything, and they know better, I mean heck, let me get caught with a charge of harassing a nice piece, and I will use your money to buy my arse outta trouble, that is F'N SMART dude.

So, I gots 110% of your money, out of the generosity of my heart, I will give you 10% back.

Ya see?

NO?

Then OK, lets try this way.

Your sum total equals 100% of your wealth.
They will give you 50% of that to keep.
They then tax you at the federal level of 50%.
And another 50% at the local level.

So why are you not happy with keeping 50% of your wealth?
Do you think roads were built for free?

Did any of this sink in?

That must be a lie, sorry, why would they offer us FREE Healthcare if they just wanted us to just die.
That would seem like such a waste of money, from those fiscal hawks.....
Wouldn't it be better spent on settling sexual harassment claims?   Grin

You, sir, have become either a cynic or a realist.
The difference is perspective.
Much the same as the difference between terrorist and freedom fighter.

Well if you were to offer these fellers round here, a multiple choice option......

I am most certain the box next to, village idiot, would garner the most activity.
