He Can't Stop Lying

Hilarious and sad at the same time.

Our president - riding the wave of a robust economy, still has to lie about the tiniest things.

That's why I laugh at anyone who says he's the reason our economy is doing well right now.

He's a mand-child and a serial liar:

Job growth accelerated in January, the government reported Friday, giving President Donald Trump a boost following his State of the Union Address.

The Labor Department reported that the economy added 200,000 new jobs, up from 160,000 in December. The unemployment rate was unchanged for the fourth consecutive month at 4.1 percent.

The numbers also lend credence to Trump's claim during his address Tuesday that wages are beginning to rise under his leadership after months of stagnation with the economy nearing full employment. Wages in January rose to 2.9 percent over the previous year, compared to 2.7 percent in December, the largest year-over-year wage increase since June, 2009.

At the same time, continued growth will put pressure on Trump's new Federal Reserve chair, Jerome Powell, to raise interest rates — which could pose a threat to the stock market, Trump's favorite piece of evidence for the success of his presidency.

The labor force participation rate remained at 62.7 percent for the fourth consecutive month, the lowest level since the 1970s.

The job gains slightly exceeded the 2017 average of 181,000 new jobs per month. Over the past three months, gains averaged 192,000 per month.

Side note: Boeing is paying out (me) 5.5% of my gross, as a bonus, enough to buy a couple S40's off the showroom floor.
Also, after having hired over 1000 new employees, and training them, PAID schooling, a few thousand more still to come.

However, I am still going to retire, YEAH BABY  Grin

Nearly as good as under Obama... how' bout that?... Undecided

Quote:
Trump said, "Companies are moving back, creating job growth the likes of which our country has not seen in a very long time."

Overall, job growth is strong, particularly this long after the recession, but the gains are not much different (and maybe a little worse) than they were during the last six years of Obama’s tenure.

However, there is evidence that the number of jobs specifically caused by "companies moving back" has increased under Trump, and one reason for this may be Trump’s promises, both of the carrot and stick variety. On balance, we rate the statement Half True.

Donald Trump's job record as president so far has been pretty good. It's just not as good as Barack Obama's.

Employers added 1,189,000 jobs in February through August, according to data released Friday.

That falls short of the 1,375,000 jobs created during Obama's last seven months.

Bot,

Could you be more specific,
on your, ‘job’, numbers.

Where most of the jobs under Trump, were created by Companies,
when the new employe, Paid taxes, and also was Forsed to pay into the S.S. retirement fund.

 VS  the Obama Jobs  created,
which were, MOSTLY,  Federal/Government jobs,
Where, the Taxpayers paid their wages, and the Taxpayers, Paid their, Pensions.

Can you provide that number, of which is which, under each POTUS ?

(Or is that like the 1,600 ?)

(hmm... what was that about bragging about yourself?... yeah, whatever ray..)

There's no denying the economy's looking great.  I'm doing much better financially than I thought I'd be this time last year.

However - if you're tying it solely to our president, you're a moron.

First - the fiscal year under our current president started in October of last year.  All GDP growth and spending cuts prior to that - you can thank Obama for.

Second - every single economic indicator was on an upward trajectory before he got into office.

It's funny - our president woke up on third base and thinks he hit a home run! Grin

Ask yourself this - if everything's so rosy, why are the republicans leaving office in droves prior to the midterms?

Yeah, the tax break might do well in the short term - but what else do they have?  (hint - nothing)

I always have said Obama did good with what he inherited, and once folks got rid of his party majority and some adults from the other side of the isle helped out, just like they did with Clinton....

I mean, why would folks vote out the democrats upon first opportunity after having given him a majority if the job he/them, were doing good?

Anyways, the telling is that it's NOT the GLOOM AND DOOM you guys predicted that would happen if Tweeter was elected.....
Remember those?

Of course not  Grin

Ray is the rare democrat. He knows what reasonable is, at Least sometimes. Occasionally he falls into strict democrat thinking and becomes brainlocked.
The Tea Party movement was a great beginning, sadly the idiots, like Palin jumped in front of the parade and the IRS used their position to strangle the grass roots level of it.

whatever helps you sleep at night.   The Tea Party died a corporate death as it was sucked dry by cronyism.  They won where they could, and you know what, it's not enough, not enough people buy into it.   deal, you are a minority.
