I often share this possibility with co-workers.
I worked on the 787 from the beginning......
A huge undertaking by Boeing, and a great drain on its money, as it had years of delay, etc....
However, the finish product has exceeded everyone's predictions.
It has opened up new routes, etc, that DID NOT EXIST, prior to its release into operation.
Read, new sources of revenue of those who know how to take advantage of this opportunity.
I kid you not, someone soon will put together a program, knowing all the data it needs to know about flight schedules, etc.
With this data, they will be able to see how to move product, very quickly, from two points on this planet.
The 787 has a giant B deck (under the main cabin).
It is all categorized, meaning every square inch of it is accounted for.
You have a package on board that plane, the expediter has the ability to tell you EXACTLY where it sits, a real needle in the haystack.....
Given the program software.
So, I want a pizza from a special little deli, in Venice, I ordered from on my honeymoon.....
Its my anniversary tomorrow, and I thought I would surprise my wife.
This plane has the capacity to get it to me still warm, fresh from its oven, it just takes a person with savvy programming, etc, knowledge, to fit the pieces together.
We are talking about a whole new pizza delivery industry
You get my drift?
