I am of the generation where I recall women had a set role expected of them. You got married, raised the kids, did motherly and wife things. That was the “norm”.
Sure, you could go to college, but that was to snag a better husband, etc.... Expecting to actually use that education was not really how it turned out.
Then, along came the feminist movement. It empowered women to make choices to what they wanted, a career, etc, away from the stigma of women being dependent upon others.
I wonder why this same reasoning isn’t extended to minorities, that they need the help of others, creating a dependency. Why is it that a certain scenario is used, weak, inferior, easily manipulated, to where they need a savior?
A conservative minority is portrayed as a sell-out, Uncle Tom, etc....why? Can’t they be empowered like women were and choose for themselves?
