What I'd like to see happen is someone who's injured in a shooting sue the owner who puts a sign like that up because by default, they are guaranteeing the safety of the building's occupants.

I live in the wild west, just 70 miles from the border where all those dangerous illegals are coming from,... and I have never carried a gun, ... no one I know carries a gun.
And no one I know has ever been shot.

I do know a guy that shot himself in the leg accidentally,... and I know two guys that committed suicide with a gun (both were teen children of friends).

Ludicrous Speed !... ... Huh

If it's a place where you have no option but to go , yeah, if they demand you be unable to defend yourself, they have taken the responsibility.
A restaurant, well, you go and spend your money where you're welcome.
In school, the government has taken control over the abilities of the people.

Maybe that whole idea needs to be ditched and allow teachers to get certified and armed.
