Have you admitted you were duped by Obama yet?
Or are you ready to explain why we destroyed Libya?

Are you able to explain why they shoved HMOs into a system that was working and HMOs could only drive costs up and limit access?
All you deep thinking lefties refuse to defend your own crap, and pretend it's because I don't want to discuss it.
We, get with backing up your side.

In all fairness, as I sit wasting my time because it’s snowing outside....

Jog and Lost Artist have recently had some nice dialogue,
Maybe if folks just started explaining their beliefs and position instead of calling the opposition stupid, etc, we ALL might possibly benefit?

HMO's were designed to limit the ever rising  costs of healthcare that neither government or businesses wanted to pay.  Rather than having people say the government is denying medical care to Grandma (a Republican war cry for a decade), of having companies face bankruptcy  (corporate America shirks it duty was the Democratic war cry) they decided to woo people with the option of lower cost programs with some limits on access etc.

The whole layer of people who code encounters, and then another layer of people wo decode the same..well they are to some degree replacing low level insurance company staff who did similar jobs before the HMO's.

I have mentioned that since the 60's, the doctor office staff of 1 receptionist, 1 nurse and 1 doctor for primary care has disappeared.
But again, we demand so much more.  The shift has started where primary care doc's monitor and help guide a patient through an ever more complex medical system, and the recent advent of Urgent care centers for triage unless an emergency room (so much more expensive)
is obviously needed.
But if you have pain in the chest it now costs thousands for xrays and ekg.s (as well as blood tests) to rule out heart attack and give you some Gavicon for your heartburn.

We want everything possible done and yet, we do not want to pay for it.

The reality was, and I suspect still is, that almost 2/3 or the medical cost the average person incurs is during the last week or month of their lives when we, as a society, demanded extreme and excessive care of our loved ones who would die soon anyway.  No one was willing to simply say, gee its time.

The percentage of people who work primarily on health care:  EMT/firemen, doctors, RN'sNurses, NP.s war staff, LPNs, receptionist, medical coders and billers, office managers, practice managers, and the support staff from all the medical device manufactrues, and the pharma business  (oops, I could go on but dinner calls)  but yu get my point I suspect.

I think this speak much volume: We want everything possible done and yet, we do not want to pay for it.

I can't help extend that reasoning further along to another life riddle.....

I demand respect.

Perhaps folks just don't see the difference with a square peg, and a round hole?

Thanks Trippah, you always give me food for thought  Smiley

No TT, you tried to play a game and you lost.

I've been making the same points, over and over and NOBODY CONTESTS THEM, they just pretend they don't exist.
And then act like they didn't get an explanation they never got from any news source or anyone else.
Nobody wants to argue against me.
I don't blame them.
The obvious points are Right There.
So, either stand up and say something or admit that I'm probably onto something.
