The mayor of Oakland said: "I did what I believe was right for my community as well as to protect public safety," Schaaf said Friday, according to NBC Bay Area. "People should be able to live without fear or panic and know their rights and responsibilities as well as their recourses."

Please, someone, tell me this group of folks:

An ICE spokesperson gave a list of the types of crimes for which those arrested in the raid had been convicted. They cover a range of bad behavior: aggravated assault, murder, hit-run, lewd acts with a minor, burglary, cruelty toward a child, indecent exposure, domestic violence, drug trafficking, battery, sex offenses and false imprisonment.

ICE pointed, in particular, to the case of Armando Nunez-Salgado, a Mexican gang member who had been deported four times and had convictions including assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, hit-and-run causing injury and evasion of a police officer.

Another deportee was a Mexican gang member with convictions for, among other things, possession of a dangerous weapon, spousal abuse, burglary and battery on a police officer.

Tell me, ANYONE...... how what she guarantees, this aforementioned group this "right" People should be able to live without fear or panic and know their rights and responsibilities as well as their recourses."

But doesn't see it impinging on mine?

The Constitution calls for the federal government to secure the borders.
That's a Fact.
States and cities have no right to weaken that.
Declaring a Sanctuary for the illegal is equivalent to declaring a Sanctuary for the bank robber.
The State has, by the constitution, the right to legalise pot.
Yet, the feds raided pot sellers for a while after Colorado made it accessible.
The people who are setting up these sanctuaries and warning illegals of ICE raids are clearly operating outside of the law.
Jail for them.

When are you (and your conservative friends) going to realize that it's not the "hollywood elite" that is driving this narrative. It's about the money.

Think about this - no, better yet - research this:
Illegal immigrants, regardless of what you think about them, provide a valuable function in our economy. They represent about 25% of the farming workforce. They also account for about 9% of all food processing, textile and service jobs.

They're not "sponging off the US", they're helping to boost it.

The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT has the right, power and OBLIGATION to control the border and secure our country from invasion.
