Since I probably only have a decade - 15 years left, I will probably escape such a Brave New World - but as governments and businesses compete with each other for power, I not all that sure we are safe.
I think the key point/observation is this, compete.
Why is that even a concern?
I agree, business should rise and fall on its own merit.
When the government decided some businesses are “too big”
To allow to fail, we crossed a line.
I am most sure that line has been tipped toed on for years, with Lobbist, etc.
But now, for government to use self appointed power to compete, Yeah, its a ill wind that blows.
The net result will be a government that supplies/oversees, All our welfare....
I can think of a few programs that have had pretty dismal results, with that as their goal.
