Pick and choose......

What laws will you obey, and which ones ignore?

I'm thinking I might forgo paying any federal tax, I mean, if they can't protect me, assure my safety, happiness, etc....

Then I am not getting representation for my tax,  Got Tea?  Grin

I'll pay my taxes - I always do.  Small price to pay for living in this great country!

However, I'll ignore these:
(these are actual federal laws)

21 USC §461 & 9 CFR §381.171(d) make it a crime to sell "Turkey Ham" as "Ham Turkey" or with the words "Turkey" and "Ham" in different fonts

16 USC §551 & 36 CFR §261.16(c) make it a crime to wash a fish at a faucet if it's not a fish-washing faucet, in a national forest.

18 U.S.C. §1857 makes it a federal crime to knowingly let your pig enter a fenced-in area on public land where it might destroy the grass.

18 USC §1865 & 36 CFR §7.96(b)(3) make it a federal crime to harass a golfer in any national park in Washington, DC.

18 U.S.C. §1657 makes it a federal crime to consult with a known pirate.

18 U.S.C. §1865 & 36 C.F.R. §2.15(a)(4) make it a federal crime to let your pet make a noise that scares the wildlife in a national park.

40 U.S.C. §8103(b)(4) makes it a federal crime to injure a government-owned lamp.

21 USC §333 & 21 CFR §102.39 make it a crime to sell onion rings resembling normal onion rings, but made from diced onion, without saying so

But they all look so reasonable and it's obvious that violating any of them would cause some innocent people or lamps to suffer.
How did you find those and I wanna know which geniuses wrote those.

Imagine getting a felony arrest because your dog barked and scared a nesting eagle..

True story Jog....

Some folks moved to the island, from Los Angles, a while back.

Had a pretty nice place, over looking some brackish water lagoons.

Thanksgiving morning, they called the police.
They reported people shooting waterfowl.

Cop said, "So.......??"

They declared, "It woke them up!"

Cop said, "Imagine that...."

They asked if he was going to do anything about it?

"No" he said, 'It's called hunting, we do that here."

Yes, I am afraid people are that stupid.
It took years of public education to teach them that  Grin

As idiotic as the laws on that list are, they do not exist without a purpose, As do the hundreds of thousands of others, many of which are not so humorously moronic.

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”

             -Ayn Rand

What a particular law, per se, makes illegal, is often beside the point. Who a particular law can be used against, and by whom is the point.

It isn't stipulated that those are felony crimes, and I am sure someone did something stupid so that others had to look at their stupid behaviors.
Most legislators would rather be having a drink than worrying about where people wash off their fish.

It's sorta like an NFL game where there is a penalty every play, but only some are called.

Perfect explanation above.

And a real life example, how the Ultra-Lefties,
    Push the Pendulum, To Far,
  Just because they don’t, ’Think’.

Love the Story about the ‘City’ folk moving into the Country,
and know knowing what, Hunting is.
(have experienced, Many many examples of that)

Best was, (My property fronts a County Rd)
One morning (twice a year), their was a Bicycle race.
I was target shooting, (proper backstop etc)
Cop came down my drive,
said their have been reports of someone shooting at the Bicyclers.
OMG, I said, any of then dead?
Cop said no.
I then said, ‘Well then it wasn’t me’.
And put my ear muffs back on.
