“Hasta Muerte, an Oakland coffee shop whose name means “Toward Death” in Spanish, is refusing to serve police in uniform…”

"Local liberals have been remarkably silent over Hasta Muerte’s policy. After all, California laws require businesses to serve the public without regard to race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation….”

WOW,  Just  WOW.

Wonder if someone came in the coffee shop, in a  Birka, instead of a police uniform.
And they, ‘Refused to Serve”.  What would Happen ???????

(We already know what would happen, if they were a Baker of Cakes)

“…on  the one side, you have liberals who are thumbing their nose at legitimate law enforcement. Their allies include the mayor of Oakland and the owners of Hasta Muerta, who have contempt for the rule of law and those who enforce it. On the other side, there’s the admittedly controversial Trump administration. But it has a powerful argument that transcends partisan politics: If you don’t like the law, work to change it. But don’t prove your membership in the Loony Left by spitting on it and pretending that makes you virtuous….”

Don’t know, what the ‘complete’ law says.
Just C&P’ed what was listed on that site.

Thinking a, ‘Baker’, should have asked,
“What Profession are you’,
perhaps then, the ultra-Liberal,
Fairy Dust Sprinkling Kum-By-You stand in the street, Criers,
would, NOT, have Sued his Azz into the ground.

Nobody was ever stupid enough to discriminate against a profession before,
As IF cops on site increases danger.
I guess logic isn't a real strong point for some people.

Well its pretty obvious from the article that they feel that law enforcement in their area is part of the danger.  Corruption is documented there in detail, and is referenced in the article so I can see why they don't feel "safer" around cops.

I think they are within the bounds of the law as they are refusing to serve a career choice no matter the race, gender, etc. of the people entering.

If they aren't breaking any laws I could care less what they do, since it is indeed their freedom to do so, and it is their business not mine that's affected.

I'll go you one better.
I don't care if they are breaking an unconstitutional law. Like the baker allegedly did. They CAN deny service. I just want the left to acknowledge that it's their right and the baker had the same rights.
It's okay to choose who you engage in business with. Just be aware that those choices come with repercussions. I'd expect the queer crowd doesn't frequent that bakery. And, I'd be surprised to find cops, families of cops, etc. to frequent this shop. I won't be shocked if they go broke.

Say a male, with just a  Orange Thong on,
ordered a Sandwich. from a  Sandwich shop.

Because, he, is wearing only a Orange Thong
the Sandwich shop owner asks:
‘What Do You Do, for a living”
He says:  “I’m a Stripper in a Gay Nightclub”

So the Owner, Refuses to give him a Sandwich,
Because, the owner has a policy:
 ‘Does Not Serve Strippers’.

Some say that is perfectly All Right.
Because the, ‘Law’, allows someone to,
”refuse to serve a career choice”
(By the Law omitting the words,  ‘career choice’)

Now say someone, normally dressed,
(No clues as to a career choice, or uniform)
And asks for a, Pork Sandwich.
The owner says, you can have a Chicken, Beef, Cheese, Turkey, Chicken, Fish Sandwich,
But not a Pork Sandwich.
We do not serve Pork, it is a religious believe.

So one can, SUE, that Sandwich Shop, INTO THE GROUND.
Because you could Not go down the street,
where they Served, Pork Sandwiches.

And the  Fairy Dust Sprinklers, All Applaud.

OK,  Got it !

Do you have an example of where someone successfully sued a food serving establishment based of a lack of desired product in their menu due to religious beliefs?

I can't find any information where a lawsuit was allowed to go to court due to lack of pork or any other food item.

"So one can, SUE, that Sandwich Shop, INTO THE GROUND.
Because you could Not go down the street,
where they Served, Pork Sandwiches."

As far as I can find this does not and can not happen, its a fabricated event and does not exist.

That is a lot different than being sued for not serving the person or persons.  It not even close to being the same except that it involves food.

(From  News accounts, Net info, etc.
do Not have copies of the court transcripts,
or sworn statements from all the witness)

A Person, can tell someone:
“you can purchase anything in this store,
I will just not make you a, (say a)
, ‘Pork Sandwich’,
  (Instead of a Cake)
Because it is my Religious Belief

Then they get Sued.
Yet, ‘…this does not and can not happen…”

OK,  Got it.
