Everything comes at a cost. The one thing most likely to have lessened the deaths at that high school was that gym teacher having a gun.

Cops accidentally fire guns, doctors make mistakes, experimental medical procedures sometimes end in disaster, people die on motorcycles....

We keep moving forward. We make adjustments and evaluate their success or failure. Tossing out this idea because of one failure is silly.

So do we stop at 100 accidents?...  Undecided

Quote:
It is estimated that on average 16 children a day are hospitalized due to firearm injuries in the US, according to research presented at the Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting in San Francisco in May.
Even under the narrowest definition, there's been at least 1 mass shooting every month this year
Even under the narrowest definition, there's been at least 1 mass shooting every month this year
Of 23 high-income countries, 91% of children killed by firearms in 2010 were from the US, according to a study published in The American Journal of Medicine last year.

Did we stop at 100 motorcycle accidents? Did we stop when the astronauts died on the pad, Apollo 13, Challenger? You made decisions, move forward and evaluate. Isn't it trie that if that teacher  had a gun, this could have been differe?

Dude, seriously, look at the death and destruction caused by doctors. Cars. So many things are dangerous. Guns are too. Idiots with a gun are scary. I absolutely would not go out with my friends to pop Jack rabbits if a certain guy went,,
You're hyperventilating over guns, and the cops ACCIDENTALLY shoot bystanders, but you don't call to disarm THEM. Why not?
You demand perfection in firearms, right?
How many people save themselves or others because they are armed?
Why not just turn your guns in?
You know, before you hurt or kill someone.

Well,  $hit  Happens !
It is called a, Accident.

On a MC, when you go out for a drive,
do you, Expect, to run into a cage?

              DIF’s  are all around.
Some get tooted up at a bar, then hop on a MC.
So is it the, Bar’s fault? Is it the, Booze’s fault?
               Is it the MC’s Fault.
Or is it the fault of the DFI, (Person)  ?

A  Accidental Firearm discharge,
       IS,  a  Accident.
Is it the result of a DFI ?
or is it, Just, a Accident ?

Having  Armed Teachers,
who are, knowledgeable in firearms,
      Skilled, and Trained.
I believe is a  Mountain,
  better than a, ’Sign’.

No, it's not true because it's a - "coulda, woulda shoulda...."

You can guess all you want.  It makes no difference.

We are a gun country.  We have a cowboy mentality.  More guns, more problems.  Why the hell do you think we lead the entire Planet in gun deaths?

Children don't make decisions,.. we make them for them.

If I ride a motorcycle, it's my choice... if I fly to the moon, it's my choice...
I wouldn't fire a child into space...
Your comparisons aren't valid.

Look at the War on Drugs, and the laws making it a black market.
Look at what happened during prohibition.
Look at the overall condition of society.
Guns were prevalent before they became a problem.
The reasons they are used in ways that make you want them banned is because society has been screwed up.
The Florida thing could have been prevented, and should have been, but lefties Never criticize the Awthoritees unless they are bubs. The F.B.I and cops SCREWED UP. But let's blame guns.
Nobody but me has even mentioned the program, the Policy, to proactively Ignore criminal behavior in order to shield juveniles from the consequences of their actions that allowed him to stay in schools.
Instead of lefties continuing to tell the adults how to solve the problem caused by lefty ways, how about you guys just sit back and let us show you.
It took more than a year for all those genius ideas to create the societal rot that brought about these killers. It might take more than a week to fix your messes.
And How Many of these shooters were on
Doctor Prescribed Meds?
Name ONE that hadn't been prescribed stuff for ADD or some kinda behavior problem.

From a  FAVORITE, News site:
https://www.cnn.com/2016/05/03/health/medical-error-a-leading-cause-of-death/...

Comes this:
“251,454 deaths due to medical errors annually in the United States.
The authors believe the number is actually much higher,
as home and nursing home deaths are not counted in that total”

OK, 251,454  /  365  =  688  DEATHS  A  DAY, by Doctors.

OMG,     688 DEATHS a DAY,
 We gotta, LICENSE  Doctors,
We gotta MAKE, them go to School

OMG !!!!!

Totaly Disagree.
'More Guns'.  Is NOT  the Issue.
(The, 'amount' of firearms available, vs the ones not used or put out for collection, or just broken/discarded)
So the Number of firearms remains constant.
It is the, 'Arming' of Knowledgeable, Skilled, people, who are TAUGHT, by Knowledgeable Skilled people.

Not ALL,  teachers are, 'worthy'.
A  Teacher, who is  'Afraid', of Guns, because she/he, has had NO  experience with them, and actually, Believes, a 'Russian Troll'.
Is  NOT, One to Be Armed.

The people that should/could, be armed in a School, are the people, who are, Familiar with, have Used, are Competent, and Skilled.

The reference to  Doctors  KILLING so Many:
To reduce that number, have less doctors?
Sure, that will do that, Less Deaths by Doctors,
 because their are, Less Doctors.
Doubt someone will take a kitchen knife and operate on themselves.

Yet, one can buy, a LP tank just about anywhere.
