I don't know which were "covert" or not,... but if a judge approves it, it's for reason.
Covert, is done when a judge believes there is adequate reason to suspect that the subject will try to destroy or hide evidence if alerted prior to search...

but if a judge approves it, it's for reason.

Everything is done for a reason.
Not all reasons are Right.
That judge misbehave.
That was a politically motivated move.
The judge may have gained ground with the left, but it's probably not gonna work out well for the judge in the long run.

If Cohen wasn't going to hide or destroy any evidence,... how will the "covert" search make any difference?...

Do you believe he would have volunteered the exact same evidence without the search?....

If so,... then where's the problem?... Huh...

The judge had no idea who the third client was until Cohen revealed him to be Hannity..
It could have been Bill Clinton or Matt Lauer for all she knew.
It could have been Obama... (not likely, but it could)
How could it possibly be politically motivated?...

It's Trumps lawyer.
You don't really think that other client wasn't someone on the right, do you?

That name had no business being revealed in public. If the judge didn't know then that name should only have been revealed in private. Releasing names like that is wrong. I expect repercussions for the judge.

I don't really know lawyers to be particularly partisan in their selection of clients, you don't think that conservative lawyers only have conservative clients do you?

you being represented by a lawyer isn't top secret confidential information or anything.

there is nothing wrong here. sorry JOG, as much as you apparently want Hanity to be a victim, he's not, he's just a customer of a lawyer. Lawyers sometimes even advertise their clients to build their future clientelle

And Hanity very well might not have done anything wrong by getting occasional legal advice from Cohen, and those particular communications between them should be kept under lawyer client privilege, unless they break the law.

for some reason you seem awful upset about Hanity being a little embarrassed

Ohhh, it's because of WHO.
I'm not about that.
It's a matter of privacy.
It's not a public thing.

It's not over.
Like so many other things that are stewing.

again, there's nothing private about you being a client for a lawyer.  That information in and of itself isn't protected.

and Hanity says he wasn't a client, but still wants privilege protection...  I don't think it's any secret that Cohen and Hanity were friends, Hanity bragged about it on his TV show several times, and since Cohen is a lawyer, it's not unheard of for a friend to ask another friend about their professional opinion about this or that...  I've asked engineer friends to confirm my reading of an electrical wiring diagram before.

you seem to be making this into a much bigger deal than it deserves.

It's already been shown that mere association with cohen has an implication that he's trying to shut someone up.
Of course as long as it's not you, it's ok to trial by press.

eh, I don't quite buy that. Sure that might be his specialty, but it's not like that's the only use for a lawyer, they really do know quite a lot of things. I'm with-holding judgement on that.  Like the engineer I asked about the wiring diagram, he wasn't an electrical engineer, or electrician, but he would have better knowledge than me about how to follow the diagram correctly, he just confirmed my understanding of it for me.

Sure there'll be some liberals and media types that will jump to conclusions, but the same thing happens with conservative media types as well.

and for someone as media savvy as the President, you'd think he'd have some way to help Cohen play the media better...

Or it might Not be.
The point is, the POTUS Hating Press
  has decided, it is.
  Anybody, that is remotely associated,

HOLY CRAP!!! you recognized a "might"  are you actually picking up nuance in language???

I'd buy you a beer or cookie if you were here . just a bit of fun ribbing for you, no worries

There's always the exception to the rule though.

and I think you're exaggerating the press's bias in this, not that it's not there, but really isn't as extreme as you think it is.

Well than make it 75%,
That would be 1 out of 4.
Where the 1 out of 5.
Has been well discussed,
on this forum, and many other forums,
 (Links and all)
By Liberal, and Ultra-Liberal people,
stating that information.

YET ! Perhaps it's  1 -  3.95,
as those numbers probably count,
Ya HOOOOO,  as a, 'news', place

again, you have this idea that the liberal media makes up the majority of the media in this nation. and the numbers prove that's not just true.

Fox News has more viewers, and there is NO liberal radio in this nation, and newspapers are 60-40 (40% conservative)  and online it's easily 50/50, there really is NOT a censorship of conservatives online despite what the conservative media has been telling you.

I'd have to run the numbers but when you look at media as a whole, I bet you'd find that more people have access and view/consume conservative media of all types than liberal or mainstream media.

but, sure, keep playing the victim

and Yahoo is just a news aggregator like google News or MSN or a bunch of news sites online.  it's stories are just as valid as the source they pull them from like every other news story/site
