how about an idea to help stop our culture from objectifying women? maybe it's too late for that...
I mean, if you want to look at every pretty woman and just see a sex object, that's your business. and there are plenty of outlets for that already.
I take this as a sign the our culture is trying to change to be less superficial, yes, there are LOTS and LOTS of places where our culture totally embraces superficiality, but it's cool, to me anyway, that the Miss America pageant is now celebrating women regardless of their looks (more or less)
I think it's kinda cool, any step towards judging people by their CHARACTER instead of a superficiality is good in my eyes.

you want to oggle women, there are plenty of places for that, no shortage of that anywhere, feel free, no one is stopping you
as to whether this is a liberal or conservative idea... that's debatable.

aren't liberals the Hollywood types that are all about style over substance, and celebrating beauty over substance, superficiality over responsibility?
also, it's funny how you say "lefty" idea, as opposed to liberal, or progressive... you labeled the other ideologies with their proper names... but liberal, nah, it's lefty!
